How We Got Started

It has been my dream for many years to own a store and be able to work using my creative side, but responsibilities, my "normal job", and life just seemed to get in the way and it was always "some day".  I have had an antique dresser and a collection of other things stored in my shop for many years as I thought they would make a great display or look good in my "someday store".  On April 28th, 2014, my only son was killed in a tragic car accident which has been a life changing experience for me.   I have realized just how precious and short life is and that sometimes "someday" never comes.  I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for my dream, it has been a lot of hard work but even if things don't work out, at least I gave it a shot.    After my son's death I could feel myself falling into a spiral of sadness and depression and I knew I needed to fill every waking moment with something to keep me busy, so I started a very small part-time business.   It started out mainly by word of mouth, selling alternative styles of clothing and my own custom designs and has steadily grown over the past months.  As we live an hour outside of a major city there was a need for "wicked" unique clothing at a reasonable price.  There are stores in my area that sell clothing but I wanted to provide a line of products that would be exciting, unique and cater to those with a rebel heart and a free spirit.  I searched out suppliers that I felt offered what I was looking for, placed some orders and started selling on social media and by word of mouth........ and now here I am.  I am not sure where this journey will lead me but I know that this path has helped me deal with my sadness and grief.  I love you my son.....this is for you....
